Rendered walls are a common starting point, including coloured and through-coloured finishes. K Rend needs extra care with the cleaning product and how long it remains on the surface. Point out the render type if you know it, but a photograph is still useful if you do not. Include corners and the lower wall so the enquiry shows more than a single patch of staining.
Painted masonry and domestic cladding also need their finish considered before cleaning. Mention any flaking paint or areas that look different from the rest. A dirty painted wall and a deteriorating coating are not the same problem, and choosing low pressure does not remove the need to check condition. uPVC fascias and soffits can be included with the walls if you want a broader clean.
You may want the path or driveway cleaned at the same time, but that does not mean the same equipment setting belongs on the wall. Hard paving can suit controlled pressure, while a rendered or coated elevation needs its own approach. Put the paving in the enquiry as a separate surface so the proposed work distinguishes it from the house soft wash. Photographs showing where paving meets the walls help explain the layout.
Green growth and black staining can be more noticeable on a north-facing or shaded elevation than on the sunny side of the same home. Photograph each affected face from a safe place, and say which receives little sunlight. The pattern helps explain whether you are asking about one wall or the whole house. A close picture of the darkest mark alone cannot show how far the staining extends.
The wash addresses surface growth, but appearance does not always change uniformly during the visit. Some organic staining may continue to fade after treatment. Ask what to expect from your particular finish on the day and afterwards rather than assuming every dark patch will disappear together. There is no fixed number of weeks attached to a house wash; the condition and type of staining need discussing first.
Tell us about planting against the wall, nearby windows, paved areas and anything on the neighbouring property close to the work. Those details belong in the preparation conversation, before treatment is applied. Photographs that include the surroundings are particularly helpful on a narrow side passage, where a view of the wall alone leaves out the space available to work.
Mention pets, ponds and anything that cannot easily be moved. Products are used according to their labels, and protection of nearby surfaces is considered as part of the job. The access arrangement should also cover gates and the route around the home. Ask which preparations you need to make when the visit is agreed, rather than moving or covering things without knowing the proposed approach.
Biocide aftercare is offered as its own line, so you can discuss it alongside the clean rather than assume it is included automatically. Ask which surfaces the recommendation applies to and how treatment fits the chosen process. If repainting is your next step, mention that at the quotation stage. A cleaning recommendation and the paint manufacturer's preparation instructions need considering together.
House soft washing is arranged within about fifteen miles of our base near Dover. Share the postcode first so Jordan can confirm your address and discuss the surfaces involved. Commercial enquiries further across Kent belong with our commercial service. You do not need to identify a cleaning method yourself before contacting us; clear photographs and a description of the problem are enough to begin the conversation.
Send pictures of each elevation, including the roofline if you want it washed, plus access notes and your postcode. Say whether you are preparing to paint or simply want the organic staining addressed. Contact Jordan Sartain at OOR External on 07860 962107 or info@thecladdingcleaners.com. Soft washing is a method, not a single service. The same principle, a treatment applied at low pressure, given dwell time and rinsed gently, is used on render, roofs, cladding and uPVC. For a whole home, exterior house cleaning combines several surfaces in one visit.
Soft washing a driveway or concrete is rarely right: paving usually needs controlled pressure, so it sits under pressure washing. Window frames can be soft washed, but glass is cleaned separately.
